Default Down but not out

Just got out of the hospital last night. Had a heart attack on Thanksgiving evening and what a Thanksgiving it was. Luckily there wasn't much more damage but they put in two stents and embedded a defibrolator in my chest. It'll be quite a while before I start chipping again, but I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world. God bless you all and I'll stay in touch.

Dan

Dan,

Glad everything worked out good for you. Those things are kind of scary (been there done that) but it don't take to long and things are back to normal. You will be chipping away in no time. Good Luck

God Bless
Gene

Sorry to hear that Dan but thank god you are alright. Take care of yourself and it won't be long before you can get back to carving.

Yep - nothing like a life threatening event to wake you up and make you realize how much you have to be grateful for. Glad to hear you pulled through and are on the road to recovery. I am 46, high cholesterol (take Vytorin), about 30lbs overweight, and work in the sometimes stressful IT world. One of our family friends who was only about 7 or 8 years older and in seemingly decent shape just dropped dead from a massive heart attack. So it keeps me ever vigilent and thankful for all that I've been blessed with.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Dan, Glad to hear you are doing ok. I had three heart attacks two years ago and a triple by-pass. Know how you are feeling. Take your time and get better.

Glad you're on the mend Dan. Just take it easy and do as the doc says. Also a good time to gather up and develop more carving patterns and plans.
