| | Don't be too Comfortable!! I pulled a good stunt the other day and it sure made me wake up and realize that a person can get to comfortable. I was going down the basement stairs in which there are thirteen of. It is a common practice of blind people to count stairs so they can tell where they are at. Well I must have been thinking of something else because when I thought I was on thirteen I was on ten going down. So needless to say the last three I went head first. Colin probably felt the after shock in Canada because I landed hard. Fortunately the only thing hurt was my pride and good ole Lou came to the rescue and licked my face then layed on me. I also thought the other day that I would go and get the mail when I heard the mailman so out the garage I went. Normally when I am out side I use my cane if Lou is not harnessed up but noo!! not me I knew my way to the mail box and back(I thought ). I ended up in the neighbors yard headed North instaed of West. Luckly the mailman saw me and helped me get redirected talk about embarrasing to get lost in my own yard. The few of you that have seen me in my shop know how I move around without my cane not no more I found my bandsaw with my shin . It's like my compass is screwed up or something but the point is don't get too comfortable at least I know I don't bounce as good as I used to.

| | Re: Don't be too Comfortable!! I, too, found out about "mental wanderings". Bush hogging is a pleasurable activity. Just sit there and drive the tractor. Let the mind wander to whatever is its desire.
But.......did you know that a wife's angry voice, turned to full volume, easily pierces the impressive roar of a diesel tractor.....when it is passing over a row of peonies?
Pay attention? Yep. And not just when carving! |
