I googled wood carving and wood spirits and it kept directing me to the gallery here and after seeing pics of folks like Colin and Patricks carvings I decided to join. I didn't post for a long time though, because we had dial up.

An old friend watched me looking at his carvings each time we went to visit, so he gave me a knife, chunk of wood and loaned me his carved boot for a pattern. I was hooked. Went down to Midwest Wood Worker store bought WCI found the web address and history from there. I dont post a lot, but read most every day. I am so thankful for this forum and people on it. Ask and it shall be answered, multiple ways pick what is best for you.

From WCI magazine of course. I have been a subscriber from #1, read the forum almost every day on my lunch break, then one day joined in. So glad I did.
