Default Daytona wood carving show

I noticed in Lynn Doughty's site he mentioned the show at Daytona in November. What is the date and place for the show please. Living in Ocala Fl. that would be a nice day trip to see some great carvings.

Thanks, Gerald

There are several Fl. carving shows, all during the winter. Some will be listed in the next WCI, I think they start in November or December.

Gerald,
The Calusa Woodcarvers of New Port Richey will hold their annual show the last weekend of Feb/first weekend of March in Hudson over here on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It's a good show. We have world class bird carvers displaying their work and lots of club members showing theirs. We also have quite a few vendors of supplies, books and wood. Last year, one of our main vendors messed up on the dates and didn't make it but normally we have a good turn out of vendors too, which is nice when you want to stock up on supplies. I will get the exact dates for you for the next show...

Hi Gerald,
I just got a reply back from one of our members who works on the show committee. March 6 & 7 next year. We are at the Veterans recreation park in Hudson and it's pretty easy to find. It's on the corner of Hudson Avenue and Hicks Rd, on the North West corner...the entrance is actually on Hicks road. I know it's a ways off yet but I hope to see you there. Unless something unforseen happens, I will have a small display there. In past years several forum members have stopped by to say hi and it's always a real treat for me.
