I look at it this way. When I die, they can have a huge Auction ( wich is really another term for pack rat convention) and use the money to bury me or have a huge party. LOL

Paul -- that's a terrible mistake:
"I thought it was the long trip to the art store (55 miles) that kept me using those old paint brushes and saving my new ones. Is it possible that I am a collector!!!"
You are NEVER NEVER NEVER supposed to use ONE new paint brush unless you buy 6 exactly like it. If you buy 12 new paint brushes you can use 2 of the old. Got it?

Ron - Even USER pack rats collect antique tools but having 1/2 pound of every bolt ever manufactured but only 1/4 pound of every washer and nut size does not count as old/special items ! Now what people will say when your dead and gone is ... "How many fingers did he have left?"

Marci - Please put my name down on the invitation list to your Going Away Auction!!!!!

Nancy - That the 12 to 2 theory ... does it only apply to old, stiff, crusty brushes or to everything in the workshop. Under your theory he will need another 4' x 8' x 12" shelf for all the new bolts, screws and nails just to be able to use old nails, screws, and bolts to buid that shelf.

BobD - Now you went and gave away your secret didn't you! Your really a clone of Clark Kent, mild mannered magazine editor off line and Supreme Leader of the Loonie Knife Welders online! Geez, what a realization, Bob's really Superman's twin brother and Paul is a COLLECTOR RAT!

Susan

Hey, Hi-Ho! When and where is your next stand up comedy gig? I found this basket of old rotten tomatoes that I hate to have go to waste.

That is exactly my problem. I hesitate to start new carvings at times because once I use that wood, it's gone!!!

Why can't they invent a wood that you can use and keep untouched at the same time? They used to be able to send a man to the moon (big deal!) but I want some wood I can use and at the same time leave in my stash.

(sigh)

I admit it. I'm a collector. (hangs head in shame)

Whitecree,
I think that variety of wood is called "etchasketch".
