Default The Cookie Monster Strike Out West!!

Don't know if any of you have experienced this but last Friday our internet service almost came to a halt. We recently switched from Wild Blue to ATT/Yahoo. Normally we get a download speed of 2500kbs and upload of 450-500 which is great. Friday the upload dropped to 8k and the download, while registering 2500 really slowed down to what we remember when we had dialup. Anyway, after working with ATT/Yahoo techs over in Mumbai, India the problem was traced to the abundance of cookies stored on our system. Once they were deleted everything was back to normal.

I guess the moral is to occasionally empty the cookie jar. My wife said it was probably caused by all those girlie sites she catches me surfing to!!!! Anyway, just thought I would pass this info along in case you ever have the same problem, not the girlie sites but with the cookies.
