Just got my copy of Wood Carving Illustrated Fall issue in the mail yesterday. In the 'news and notes' section I see Ken won the Rick Ferry Group Carving round robin. Way to go Ken, who also carved on the project too! thumbs up 'All' of you who carved on the project are to be commended for a fine job. I also see Lynn O. Doughty's wonderful 'Camp Cook' shown. Lynn thank you for your step by steps on your blog. Will look forward to seeing an article by you in future issues. Susan-as always I love seeing your articles and instuction in my WCI issues. I've learned so much from you and hope to learn more. WCI, please continue to show us more of our talented WCI message board carver's on your pages. Love the Fall issue! Sincerely, Kathy

Yeah, but the mule is still trying to cross the Delaware River into New Jersey. I thought he was waiting to hitch a ride with George Washington to cross near Trenton. But it was something about gas being so expensive. Gee, I didn't think a can of beans costs so much! ![]() BTW--a congrats to all--even though I ain't seen it yet on account of that MULE! Wel, wouldn't ya know it, that mule beat me to the mailbox today, and left the lastest issue of WCI! So now I can say double congrats! Great issue, too!

Yes Kathy, It is display behind glass with other carvers carvings and the llatest one by Dave Dunlop. Proud of them all. BTW thank you. It was an honor to carve with these guys but never thought I would win the carving. I will tell you, picture doesn't do it justice just like they don't on Lynn's carvings and scenes. Seen his also and WOW the detail in them. Can;t see them all for sure. best to you Gal
