Default Colin , my deepest condolences

Old Friend,
I was just told your mother passed away today. You and your family are in my heart and prayers. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I know that you have been blessed to have her these many years and she had a good life.

May God bless you my friend and keep you in his heart, lighten your burden and give you strength.

your friend
Garry

Sad to hear of this news. Even though I've never met Colin I feel like I know him better than 99% of the folks on this forum. Evidently his mom did a good job because he's as good as they come. My prayers will be with him.

Thanks guys I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Funny I just sat down to send a post and Garry had already beat me to it. I was going to tell you all that I have decided to take some time off from carving. Mom passed this evening around 5.30 after having a massive stoke yesterday morning. She was a grand lady who survived 90 years in this world and had all of her faculities right up until she the stoke. She taught me well and will be very much missed by everyone who had the privilage to meet her. It is strange after having my parents all these years that they both were taken from me within a year. As most of you know Dad passed not 10 months ago on the 16th hole of the golf course and mom has not been the same after he went they were married for 67 years. They always delighted when I would take them out to supper to tell everyone they met that I was their son and I was a senior citizen. Now I sit here without them and I am feeling just a little empty. So if you dont hear from me you will know that I am not ready to come back yet. I know time and tide heals all wounds I just need the time right now. Thanks again I will continue to check the threads from time to time and again thanks to you all for being there you are all my friends and I cherish that
God Bless
Colin
