Default Cleaning the shop

As I was having my first cup of coffee this morning I had a sudden urge to clean the shop today, as it is a terrible mess. However, after five more cups the urge finally passed and I was able to start carving.

I normally have more before going to the shop but I wanted to get started as soon as the urge to clean passed and before it came over me again.

Doug, Way to go! Resist the urge. I have a notice from the FBI that I am not allowed to clean my shop unless the FBI has a team there in case I find Jimmy Hoffa. Tom H

Actually I clean a coupla' times a year whether it needs it or not. Wood chips and sawdust make it easy on my feet and provide some cushion for dropped chisels.

WOW Doug, Ya scared me for a minute there. Thought that old Cleaning Demon done got a hold of you.

I have been wondering what a clean shop was and hope that demon doesn't come around here for sure.

On a more serious note, I have often wondered how any carver with a REALLY clean shop ever gets anything done.If I kept my shop REALLY clean I would spend more time cleaning than carving. I know my place looks messy but I'd rather be carving.

Whenever I get that urge, I just go lie down somewhere until the urge passes.

And Bob, don't you know that drinking 3 or 4 pots of coffee is just the right time to do a lot of hand sanding?
