Default Chinese horses

Just got back from Covington, La. where I found these two handcarved Teak horses from China. They were carved in pieces and put together with dowels. About 8 feet high and well done. Thought everybody might find them interesting. By the way, they are for sale for something like $10,000.00 each but I bet he would take less if you offered to buy them both. I wanted them but SWMBO said we didn't have room in our 1500 square foot house. Besides, I didn't have enough cash with me. Hah!
Hey, Thomp, you are pretty close, maybe you want 'em.

Nice carvings,

But 10,000 ? With the China labor rate that is like the labor of 10000 men for 3 days.

Doug it was a steal!

talk about ripping off people jeeze.

Oh Boy! they would be a grand sight Doug.......what a shame they appear to be left to the elements, should be under cover at least. Restored, they would make an imposing display in the foyer of a museum or some other public building.....Thanks for sharing them with us.

Teak is hard to find anyway ...
