One final question befre I type an internet ride that will astound you.
Was the studio a Photography Studio?

Geeze, Pierre, this is wierd. Gwen worked with my dad for quite a while, then went on to open her own studio just across the street. After Dad died, Gwen passed me on my Photography Merit Badge while I was working on my Eagle rank. Very nice lady.....she and my mom remained good friends.

Maybe we should take this to a Private Message session, unless anyone else is inerested in this cross country connection.

Email your phone number if you prefer. I have toll-free outgoing, but the family aspect of the bakeries and my Grandfather's carvings might make interesting reading.........
Your call.

Sorry, Al. This just became a moot point for this evening. We have a band in the studio with their own engineer and they're in a battle royal over lead guitar tracks. They've asked me to go out and man the console.
Gotta go, but please do email your phone number for tomorrow evening.
Later.........

Keep posting guys, I'm enjoying this and called my wife in to read your posts. Al and I have discussed this before, my wife's parents had a summer home in Norway and we use to go up on vacation. I'd give some good money for a good pastie. They got their baked goods from a bakery in Norway. I can't add a whole lot, because I only vacationed there, but she spent a lot of time in the UP during the early 60's. How can that be, she's only 35 now, she made me say that! :>)
