Default Carved items left in enclosed trailer

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to leave carved items in the enclosed trailer we use to get to and from fest, and fairs etc. They are all painted and sealed
just not sure if the heat will cause any problems. We live in north Florida.
thanks totova.

All finishes and every wood expands and contracts at different rates. I'd suggest if temperature changes are extreme, not to leave your carvings in un heat controlled environments. I can't attest to high heat variations but have personal experience with extreme cold variations....cracked finishes. And come to think of it, one of my carousel style carvings was displayed in a sunny window at a gallery and it blistered.

I don't think it matters this time of the year, but I would not do it in the summer.

I've seen temps in the summer crack wood 2, 3, 4 inches thick that was supposed to be 6% mc and the wood was left in a car in the shade. I would not chance it. I'm in NC, not Fa.

thanks everyone,I unloaded all my things today. Safe and sound in the house. My husband scrollsaws out in the shed, and I have a room in the house. In the summer most times you will see me carving on the porch and Bill working in the shed. We are both retired and we love working with wood. With my eyes I perfer the sunlight. In the winter I try to stay out but with the wind and chilly temps,I end up in the house. Talk with ya later.
