Default Can't believe it

I mentioned in another post that I was taking the grandchildren to a movie. Well, It wound uo 7 of us, My wife, Daughter, her two rugrats, My son's Daughter, My niece that we have till her mothe ris out of the hospital and myself, now the children are *,*, % and 4 years of age. My Daughter found out that a new Movie house has Saturday and Sunday matinees and the cost, are you ready for this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,
Two dollars a head. That was $14 dollars for the seven of us. What movie, "Over the Hedge". The movie house has been in operation for 6 months and has had this Sat and Sun Mats every weekend for the same price. It was great and the movie was great.

Next weekend I am taking the little bride to see R.V.

Been a long time since we were to a movie.

Kenny you were too fast on the post I guess the kids are 8,8,5, and 4. Never the less that is a great price. I took all the kids and grandchildren to the show last night mine are a little older. We went to see Miami Vice and it cost me a fortune with admission plus all the treats close to $100. By the way dont waste your money it is not a very good movie. We saw RV a few weeks ago I have never laughed so hard in my whole life, well worth seeing.
Colin

Yep Colin, you are right. The only reason it didn't cost more was I promise them Braums/ I don't know if you all know what that is but it is one of the best Ice cream and fast food Chains in this part of the country. They raise their own beef and what have you, Milk cows for making some of the best Icecream. but then only 10 bucks for the 7 of us and theat 5 year old grandson can sure put it away. Takes after my own heart. I did notice that a bucket of popcorn was 5 bucks and small drinks were 199 on up. But luckily for me, none wanted anything. The Braums trip was their treat for being good at the movie and even the 4 year granddaught sat there and giggled. Love the time spent with them.
Dave, We have done the same thing but since I found tis place out, Maybe the little bride will take me out more often, If I promise not to embarrass her. We quit going to movie after a buck to two fifty.

Yes Colin, I can see how it would have added up for sure. Anyways, Y'll have a great evening and the best to you.

Movie prices are outrageous. Locally, we have one night a week of "cheap seats".

ONLY $4.50 a head.

The always oversalt the popcorn. They don't use butter or margarine (oleo), they use warmed up corn oil. A little bag runs $3. Pop - watered down - runs another $3 for a medium. Don't even think of candy.

Wifey and I haven't been to a movie in - - - 7 years? 8? But we are accumulating quite a DVD collection.

At teo dollars a head, Adults or children, we will be going more often now. That price isn't jus matinees it is all the time and plan on seeing RV some evening this week. Just the two of us, sharing an RC COCA COLA and holding hands. Well, watching the movie together anyways. Haven't seen and RC for years and the uolding hands. I'll leave that mushy stuff up to the youngens.

Man I can remember mon giving us boys, Brother and me, Fifty cents and that got us in to the movies, a coke and bag of some great tasting pop corn a piece.
Good times.
