Default "Birds eye view"

Ever wonder what it would be like to soar like an eagle?

Check out this video http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=NRlOr5Mx0ec

Mini camera's mounted on the back of a golden eagle...

WARNING: As the above address shows...this is a link to a YOUTUBE video...if you have a slow connection it might take a little while to download...so be careful

Tony, all sorts of posts here keep jogging my memory.

Before I retired I was flying fire patrol just south of the Porcupine Mountains at around 3,000 feet, when a huge bald eagle soared across in front of me. He banked to the left and went into a spiraling dive. I remember thinking to myself, or maybe I even said it out loud, "I can do that!". I chopped the power and threw the little 172 into a tight decending turn. Somehow the eagle seemed to sense the game and climbed, turned and swooped around me, and for about a thousand foot decent, we played sky tag! And then he was gone. Never had that happen again, but what a rush!

I thought you would like that one falconer. I especially like the view behind the head and man what a reference for feather detail too.

Al that's a great story

All of it was great!!! But what's even better is that's the perfect reference for carving a flying Eagle. It shows exactly what the wings look like while flying. Thanks again, I've save that little bit of reference cause I have a eagle commission coming up that's flying. Theres nothing like the real thing!!

Hey Tony, thank you, for sharing the link and what a neat experience to soar with Tillie the Eagle.
