Peter, I am so sorry for your loss , most of us have been there but there is always one who goes just that one step farther to fasten on to your heart strings , they enjoy being close to you no matter what you are doing. I had a German shepard Terrier mix(about 8 " high at the shoulder)that was always at my feet no matter what I was doing ( concrete , framing ,roofing or dywall)even ride beside me on heavy equipment. My freinds always said that Rex was the only dog in our part of the world that could build a house. the ones that stick like glue seem to find a specail place in our hearts.

Kathy , That Rainbow Bridge link brought out a lot of tears from both my wife Sharron and I . Thank you for posting that.
