Default Ashby (Garry) Please check in!

I was just checking our weather bug report and it is showing flooding throughout upper West Virginia including Martinsburg and the South Branch area.

Are you on high ground or should we all bring our Sand bucket to help bail??

Please check in!!!!!

Susan

I was wondering about him also Susan. I talked to him Sunday or at least I think it was and that was the last I heard from him. He was busy at work as usual.

Well there is a nasty bit of weather, but mostly high winds a few snow flurries and power brown outs.

As far as flooding goes I was really amazed we were having floods today , but yesterday was a lot of rain so I guess it is catching up. I work near the airport so there is no issue there , as you can see 4 states from here.

And my home is on top of north ridge near north mountian , I have a great view of Harpers Ferry and Maryland from ther , and VA and PA from the roof.

So unless Noah passes me , I won't worry to much about flooding , although I do have to cross a couple creeks to get home, but should not be too much trouble.

Thanks for asking

Garry

Thanks for checking in Garry! We are high on Parrs Ridge so we also are far above flooding but we took a quick trip into Frederick today. The Monocacy is well out of it's bank and living up to it's name, the Muddy River.

Where I'm at just south of Berkeley Springs, WV (not too far from Garry), we recieved BUCKETS of rain on Sunday. I worked 7am-3pm on Sunday, and came home to my parents vaccuuming up water in the basement (What a way to spend their anniversary!) Some of the local creeks overflowed their banks, and the wind we had Monday was some of the worst I've ever experienced. We had a big tree in the backyard that blew over and took down part of the neighbor's fence. They weren't too worried about it, they were just glad noone got hurt.

Terry
Good to hear your Ok,

Logan county got hit pretty hard. They have a dam that came close to giving way, it was still holding last I heard.

I will agree Terry , thoes winds have been something else. I think I will make a drive this weekend and offer to help clean up some of those fallen trees
