Default Arthritis Question

To all my arthritic friends out there,

I've written before, and have seen other posts relating to this subject and today I've got another question. Have any of you ever had an ANA blood test or know anything about it personally? I just got the word from the doctor today that my rheumatoid blood work came out negative, but I do have an abnormality in my blood causing inflamation and he said this was from an ANA blood test. I'm going to schedule a visit with a rheumatologist, but can't until Monday. So, in the meantime, I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this.

I have to say after 17 years, I'm not happy to hear there's something wrong with me, but I am happy to finally have a name to go with it. In the past I even had some doctors question if it was "all in my head" No, it was in my wirsts and shoulders- that's the problem! And after having all sorts of tests (some very painful) and x-rays done, I'm relieved to finally see someone who can finally treat this very painful problem.

Jillsy all I can say is if they want to treat you with remicade treatments make sure your insurance will pay for it. I have rhuematoid arthritis and take infusion treatments every six weeks the first bill I received for it was eight thousand for one treatment. That was going to happen every six weeks. My insurance refused to pay at first because it was worded wrong by the doctor. Now they cover it but be prepaired for the shock. The stuff does work pretty good I wouldn't be able to carve without it.
