Arnie, I wish I could meet with you aloing the way...what a great trip you are planning. Made that route in '97 and it was one of the best experiences of our life. Be sure to take your time on the way up and "smell the roses" so to speak. Be sure to take a break at Lake Kluane if you can. Weather permitting (even if it's a bit chilly that early) pull off on a little overlook on the right, sun yourself in a lawn chair while you eat a quick lunch and enjoy the mountain sage as it seasons your meal. That is a beautiful spot and the scent of sage is absolutely overwhelming! And a little further up the line at Fort Liard take a swing into the Liard Hot Springs and soak your road weary bones! Enjoy your sojourn! Make sure you pick up the "Milepost" before you leave...it's the BEST! Al |

Well poo Arnie, your not coming back down through Minnesota Will you be able to keep in touch via laptop on your trip? Take lots of pictures on local carvings if you see them along your way. It would be fun to see what you see along your trip. Be careful and have fun! Marcia. |
