Dont know what he did to the TV, but he kept pushing the on-off switch and now it just keeps flashing. Of course, it was when I finally decided to take a breather for the night!

| | Re: Anyone Want A Baby Boy?!! You two are ruining a perfectly bad mood! And after the past hour of being on the phone and email with customer service reps, all I got was "A service rep will be over on NOVEMBER 7"! So, this TV, that we only got 9 months ago, is totally not working, because Nic turned it on and off 4 times. Great product!
By the way, if you remember, Nic was just learning to walk when you both met him - he was still harmless!
ps Cute pics! |

| | Re: Anyone Want A Baby Boy?!! I dont know if this will help you or not.. but when my friends tv was blinking and not coming on when pushed. A TV dude told him to unplug it.. wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. Its supposed to shock it into a reset or something. Maybe its like a restart.. I dunno. Worth a try maybe? |

| | Re: Anyone Want A Baby Boy?!! Marci is right. Most electronics these days are very much like the computer you are viewing. When all else fails, "reboot", i.e. disconnect from the power source, wait a few seconds, reconnect, and turn it back on. Of course, you'll have to reset the clock, reprogram any other custom features you set up when you first got the device, etc. I'd be surprised if the customer rep didn't ask you to do that before they even talked to you.
BTW--Jillsy, I don't think this'll work on Nicolai. |

| | Re: Anyone Want A Baby Boy?!! Thanks Marci and Bob,
Yeah, I tried it 3 times last night and it didn't work. Just tried it this morning after being off all night and still the same thing.
It's funny what we get used to. I was mad that I had to wait a week for the TV to be fixed. We only had this TV for 9 months. Before that, when I left the workfield to become a stay-at-home mom and we had no extra money to speak of, Ted and I went 5 years with a tiny little TV that only got 5 fuzzy channels - and one was in Spanish!! People used to ask us how we could stand not having cable or satellite, but it really wasn't so bad. We'd just rent some videos and stuff. Finally, after Nic came along and there were too many late nights, we bit the bullet and used our tax refund to get both a bigger TV and satellite. Funny how we went 5 years without and after getting used to having something, how easily upset I got when I couldn't use it again.
It's true what they say, people don't own things...things own people!
ps I does make me mad though the way we're forced now-a-days to buy added warranties because they can't make good quality products. There's a reason why they call this a throw-away society, nothing works long enough to keep it!
Thanks for letting me vent! |

| | Re: Anyone Want A Baby Boy?!! Would you be willing to trade for my 18 year old daughter?
Wait, I just looked at my 18 year old daughter and I can see why some people might like her.
If kids weren't so wonderful a little bit of the time, they would have gone down in pillow cases with rocks a long time ago.
