Thanks for the replies. I have always been contrary to ordinary. That's probably why I like wood carving so much. It's not a hobby for everyone.

BTW my Dad thinks it's pretty cool that I'm doing it. And that's what counts.

Not so very long ago building caskets at home for loved ones was the norm not the exception. I commend you!
