Default Alive and kicking!

Hello to all my good carving friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas whatever your beliefs, and a marvellous New Year to you all. I thought I would drop you a quick post to let you know that I am still very much alive and still just as addicted to carving, but I had my head down and tail up for the busy end of the year. I am also in the middle of a tree change, hoping to move to the mountains soon with a deposit paid on one in Avonsleigh, and our house on the market. I don't expect to do any carving between now and then as I will be packing all my stuff up in the coming weeks. I do get to have a double carport where we are going, which will be my small business and my carving workshop! Sigh, under cover at last As soon as I am settled I will post some pics of the new place, and I will continue with a carving I started before all hell broke loose in my workplace.
Cheers everyone,
Joe.

Thank-you Mark, so do I. Moving almost always seems traumatic but, you know, I have never found it so myself. Moving is new beginnings and goodbyes to events of old. I have never had a staid personality, so I guess new beginnings are always welcome in my books.

Thanks Di, I will see you all soon. I have not given up on carving and do not think I ever will. I have much to improve upon. I am not going to treat this phase of my life like others I have experienced where I reach a certain stage, a capability where I deem myself sufficient enough to give it up. I want to explore this until I feel I am the best that I can possibly be, and I have high expectations. I realy want to explore and develop a style of my own in a medium I love more than anything else on Earth. I would love to be able to leave a mark on this planet that is uniquely mine, and that is a very lofty goal. Not sure I will ever accomplish that, so I know I will be attempting to improve for many years to come.
