Default Acupuncture for tennis elbow

Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that I had a slight tennis elbow kind of ailment - kept me from carving efficiently for about 2 months - and I decided to take acupuncture treatment for it. It worked like a charm. So before you resort to a cortison shot, at least consider acupuncture. It's an ages-old method, there's a lot it can do.

And don't make the same mistake I made; instead, rest often enough while you go! A forced rest is the worst kind, at least for me.

hruukki, want to ask about the name, but no not now.
have used acupuncture ,when i lived in the great northwest, for back and knees, . but alias age finally worn the bones out, but did get rid of pain for a while,
when i started out carving, but tried to use as many power tools as possible, either lazy or in a hurry, but since i have discovered this site, and watch and learned have begun to use the knife more and more, never did i ever think i would learn how to strop a blade, maybe not great, but getting there, now it seem as i carve more and more with the knife,
after about 1 1/2 hour my hands begin to go numb,
now i have been cut on buy doc's 13 times and pain and i are old friends, but now it is beginning to **** me oof, i guess i should address this to the older carvers, might be an age thing,
and ideas, the way it sit, hold hands, anyone , my ears are turned on,
trying to keep up with cliff, is hard work, might take up fishing , any pain in that?

SAM

Hrukkii
I have tennis/Golf elbow also, I may have to give acupuncture a try.
I usually do a ton of stretching exercise to help alleviate the pain.
I definitely feel your pain

Hi Sam, normally when I see people sitting with their fishing rods they look peaceful. For me, though, there would be the unbearable pain of boredom.

Is it my name you wanted to ask about? It's just my initial and surname - I'm Henri Ruukki from Helsinki, Finland.

Mel - I was lucky enough to take a break when I realized the arm was ailing a bit, so it never developed into anything serious. Besides acupuncture there's - I don't know what it's called in english - the system where they massage the nerves. I chose acupuncture since I heard the other system is painful.

Don't postpone the treatment too far. It's not going to get better by itself unless, of course, you give it total rest. Even with treatment you'll have to let it rest but not as long as without.
