Default AAArrghgh!

I'm sitting in front of my computer on one of those office chairs that has the back that flexes backward. I just finish up replying to Irish in another thread, lean back to stretch a bit, and the back of the chair falls off.

Since most of my weight is on that part of the chair, I also fall off and land - kerthump! - on the floor.

Now, this isn't all that bad. I'm not hurt or anything, but our newest kitten had chosen to snooze under the chair, tail sticking out. Kittens don't like sudden loud noises at the same time theire tails are pinched a bit. He came out from under the chair like a scalded jackrabbit, studded paws scrambling right

up

my

side.

YEOWCH!

Grab kitty by scruff of neck, and toss (gently) into hallway. I sit up and - KLONK - my head on side of table where my system is. Of course, this causes my fancy looking coffee cup - narrower on bottom than top - to spill.

Directly on my just-bought-yesterday new WCI magazine. So I grab the mag and hurriedly wipe it on first available thing. My nice new - white - t-shirt.

I cross the hallway to my bedroom door, t-shirt half off - completely blinding me as I pull it up and over my head, but heck, I know my way around the house.

Or so I thought. Kitty hadn't moved from where I tossed him. So, of course, I stepped on his tail. His turn for a yeowch! I jump away from him, right into the hallway closet door, whacking my elbow on the way past.

Gamely, determined not to let my day be ruined by anything so trivial as an insulted cat, ruined magazine, throbbing funny-bone or aching head, I stagger into my bedroom, where I promptly trip over the laundry basket my wife is loading up.

(sigh) I don't think I should go near my workshop today...

Not only DON"T go into the shop, but see that bed in the bedroom? Very quietly crawl into it, pull the covers up over your head and hide out there for the rest of the day! And if Kitty jumps up up on the bed, don't acknowledge it in any way!

What you should do is set down , write all of this down , then have your wife get the Viedo Cam and re-enact it and send it to funnest viedo

Only one that might not enjoy it would be the kitty !

Oh yes, what Ash said!
That really gave me a chuckle....
You know, that $10,000 prize money would buy a lot of tools, wood, and a little something for the wife holding the camera and setting the laundry basket in your way...

I hope it rained all day at your house and kept you in the house,
how in the world would any of us be safe if you were on the road......?
