Default Wood burning power supply question.

I would like to know if anyone knows the Voltage and average amperage that a burning pen runs at. I figure the control it done with PWM so I could control the temps with a microcontroller. I just need the voltage. This sound to me like a neet little side project. And if I can save a little too so much the better.
