| | Wood Burning fun I have been wood burning for years now, What I thought Might be interesting to share was I have wood burned my husbands guns. One 12 gage, and Im just now glazeing the 30-30. I have a website at wildernessreflections.zoomshare.com And I have some photos of my work and the 12 gage. I will have some photos of the 30-30 once it is put back together. Do you think I can get people to by wood burned custom guns? And what do you think of my work?

| | Re: Wood Burning fun Very nice work, thanks for sharing it with us. I didn't see any of the gunstocks you have burned but your other work is very nice.
I have no idea what kind of market there is for gunstocks but I do know there are people who do burn gunstocks and have customers who buy them. I'm just not sure how they market them but it's certainly worth persuing.

| | Re: Wood Burning fun Nightsky ,
Nice work !
Can you sell wood burning on guns.. well kinda depends.
With wood burning , the stock and forearm will need to be stripped. and refinished . Many gun oweres would not be willing to chance it , but other will . Your work is very good, so I am sure that some will be willing.
But as far as woodburning is concerned , with laser carving there is no real damage and they rarely remove the finish. It is not the craftsmanship of your work but it is being done.
I assume your native american. or your husband. Your work is impressive. |

| | Re: Wood Burning fun Tn ,
I have done a few now. But after I saw the work being produced on a laser I stopped doing them , unless a friend asks.

| | Re: Wood Burning fun Nightsky,
I would suggest you contact the NRA for a possible ad in their American Rifleman. Or Check at a local gunshop the problem is they usally want to see samples, a good photo could always be left.
Hope this helps
