Susan,
With a hand as steady as yours, you could have gone into neurosurgery.
This is wonderful watching you do this.

The ruffles are done. I've darkened the face one, the shadow area of her hair behind her shoulder and a large section of the hair on the right side. With my smallest u-gouge I added a couple of highlights to the right side of the head band. There is a gray scale image posted as well for comparison.

I'm done .... Any suggestions, ideas, and critics are very much welcome.

Susan

Thumbs UpThumbs UpThumbs UpSusan, oh your finish was well worth the wait and you are finished. Put down that burning pen and step away.
Wow she is beautiful! Extending the shadow further down did improve the graceful flow. The fold values in the ruffles are remarkable they fall and ripple and look very natural not stiff. The hair shadow where it meets the beginning of the shoulder really transitions well. Really nice dark eye catching area. I love her face and how the corners of each side of her mouth curl up. Also I like the direction of values in her hair--great hair flow. The pinecones and needles makes for a lovely hair piece. What is interesting to me also is the hardness of the pinecones and the softness of the face and clothing. The collar and round buttons are so well done. The buttons leave my eye following the pointed coiling and right down to the ruffles. The dark shadows at the inside base of the ruffles stops my eyes and causes me to follow across following their rt. direction. Picking up the first large strands of curled hair. Right back to that pointed coil, up the buttons, slight curve to the very dark hair underside, short hooked strands and back to the face and upward. Adding the dropped curl (viewers lt.) falling onto the face adding a lot of interest. I put my thumb over that falling curl and adding it really broke the light fairness of the skin. Please don't misunderstand the face would be just beautiful by it's self. But the curl really in my opinion added a lot to the facial composition.
You really set the bar high and as always gives me such inspiration and a very high goal in deed. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kathy

That is a great piece of artwork and design....that said, if I might, the right eye bothers me.....I held my thumb over the lid and it looked much better, to me now...I don't know how it would be in person or if I even know what I am talking about....I do think if the right (her right) eyelid was raised more like the other, she would look better...if thats possible....not criticism..just what I perceive...she is a great work!
