Hey Kim, welcome to the message board.

What words and terms do you want defined? You might want to start a new thread and post this question along with a list. There are several excellent wood burners on the board as well as several teachers. I believe you could get you list filled very quickly!

Susan

Susan,

In several of your posts, like Step 10, you talk about using 'shadowXX.jpg' but I didn't see any listed anywhere. What did I miss?

Thanks,
Melanie

Hi Melanie...
You may get a couple of other responses as well, but I think of you take a closer look, you'll see...at the bottom of the various 'steps'...attached thumbnails that you can click on and bring up the larger, printable image. The images themselves may not (don't remember for sure) be identified specifically as "shadow.jpgXXX but the numbers do correlate to what Susan talks about in that particular step.
Hope this helps.
It's a great project...Enjoy!

Hi homebody4, your bird house turned out really nice and you learned a lot by following Susan's direction.
Could I suggest regarding coloring, how about practicing your watercolor technique on some scrap wood before actually doing it on your well woodcarved bird house. Just woodburn a small design or say even one of the birds and practice on that first. Just a thought.

New here, so sorry if I am intruding. But I very recently bought the colwood detailer and am so excited about doing Pyrography. Is this a recent thread? If it isn't I hope it stays on a while. It looks like it is a couple of years old. But I love it. I made copies of the pattern and have been reading the post. Practicing the shading tips etc. before I start the project. Just want to say hello and thanks. And this is so cooool. I have bought Irish's books in the past and will likely get more. yeah!

Marvin,

Welcome aboard. The post is actually about a year old, but there has been some recent activity.

Those of us who follow new posts usually see when somebody jumps i on a thread, so you may see more replies.

The Acorn WIP thread is another good read, also by Susan. Good luck on your endeavor.
