Thumbs up Re: Winter Birdhouse Woodburning Tutorial

I just joined this site and am a novice woodburner wanting to learn how to burn the Winter Birdhouse . I need all the help I can get. At my age 78 it will be tough. Hope not.

Janko...
There's an adage that goes: "You're never too old to learn...." and although I'm not quite as old as you, I can atest to the truth of that statement. Take your time, follow Susan's instructions, and I'm sure you'll be totally happy with the finished project.
If I've figured out how to do this (and I'm not sure I have!) there should be a picture here of my finished project...perhaps not as good as some but.....
Anyway, the fun is in the doing and learning (from our mistakes!)
Enjoy...and Welcome to the Wonderful World of Pyrography.

Susan posted the link on the first page of the tutorial, but I'll repost it here.

Wood Carving Illustrated - How To Magazine for Carvers

If you look in the right column, it's the second pattern series down from the top. You can click on the links under the patterns to download them.

Hi,
I am new at carving..and I am trying to add to my carving using woodburning techniques. I am going to do your birdhouse Susan, thank you very much for sharing. Everything is very detailed. I have bought some of your patterns thus far for carving also. The biggest challenge I have had so far is the lingo people use. Is there a book or site I can visit to find out what some words mean? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kim
