Default Sue Walters Kits

I notice that Sue is offering pyro kits on her website. Everything is supplied except the burner including step-by-step instructions.

Anyone actually tried one of these? If so, what did you think?

I haven't tried one yet, but I looked through one of her kit booklets. I was amazed at the amount of detail she crammed into the pages. After looking through the booklet, I added her kits to my Christmas wish list. If you go to www.chippingaway.com, they will show you a few sample pages of what the interior of her booklets look like.

I went ahead and ordered her chipmunk on a rock kit off of her web site. Did not know that Chippingaway had them. Ordered it on the 9th and just received a notice that it shipped today. Hope the kit is better than the service!

I used to talk with Sue now and then years ago, before she got rich and famous (she would probably dispute both terms lol) She is a great lady and an outstanding artist....beautiful work! Dave those were the days when I was on a woodburning site more than a carving site...Cheers

Well, my kit came last week when I was out of town. The instruction book that came with it is totally impressive and worth the price of the kit by itself. Now with this booklet, Sue's, Nedra's and Susan's books, I should become very dangerous soon! Suppose if I put them all under my pillow at night that ...?? Nah, probably just get a stiff neck!

You should have great fun with all three books. We all have such different styles of burning it should keep you very busy for a very long time experimenting with all the different techniques.

I look forward to seeing your work.
