Smile Spitfire Complete

Here is the completed Spitfire sampler. Now all I need to do is buys a larger piece of wood so I can do the one that will be the gift.

As always comments welcomed.

Lindy, That's my favorite aircraft, and you have done it justice. The way you have treated it almost seems like it is flying through a ball of fire. Tom H

Great job Lindy! I have a soft spot for those World War II planes and you've done the Spitfire proud.

Excellent work. From my own experience I know that it's a lot harder to make a structured object look real than it is to woodburn something more natural. I like the way the fuselage turned out.... nice lines.

Thanks guys. I was really worried about this one since my brother just knows so much about Spitfires and I need it to be as perfect as I can make it. He's my worst and best critic, he knows what he likes and isn't shy about letting me know it.

Very nice job Lindy....

Something that might look good is using a torch on the background. You might want to experiment with it but it might add a nice background effect.

The thing that really jumps out at me is the the prop. It has the illusion of moving metal and that it diffuses the outline of the plane beneath it.

Love little touches like that.

Well done.

Great burning, no changes necessary should be necessary when you do the larger version.
