Default Pyrography classes

As some of you know we are now "traveling" while our new house is being built in NM. As a result of some of our travels I've been getting requests for classes in different parts of the country. We've been in Texas for the last week and while there I was asked to come back to teach some classes this winter for some of the "winter Texans". So, I have someone who will be coordinating that for us and it is possible that there might be some openings in the classes. If so, I will post them on our website and in some of the woodcarving magazines.

If any of you have an interest in coordinating a class in your area please let me know. Once we get settled in our home we will be all set to hop back in the motorhome and hit the road. We anticipate the house will be done in August so I am open to start teaching again in October.

If you do want to get a class set up please contact me as soon as possible. We do need to set them up well in advance so that we can arrange other classes along the way to help keep the class fees and our traveling expenses down and if you don't already have enough people to fill the class extra time will be needed to help advertise the class in some of the woodcarving magazines.

BTW, For those of you who are new here or who don't know me I have been teaching pyrography for the over 6 years. I teach a basic class called Pyrography 101 (like my book) for all skill levels and I teach an advanced class called Lifelike Pyrography from Photographs (my other book) where you will learn how to do portraits from a photograph. You must have good grasp of shading before taking this class. The classes include lots of hands of experience, demo's and your choice of patterns (my own).

It's been fun this last month getting to meet some of the people I've been chatting with in the different pyro groups and I look forward to meeting more of you along the way.

BTW, we are heading to Mesa, AZ in 2 weeks if anyone wants to get together let me know

Nedra

If you are going to be in Mesa in the next couple of weeks, I would like to ask you to join us at some of our carving sessions here, Tempe and Scottsdale.
You can contact me at 480-655-7722 and I will give you further details. If you are to be here for a period of time you might even consider giving a class.

Hi Dick,
First, I would love to give a class but we can't this time. All of my stuff is packed so I have nothing with us. We will be starting to schedule classes to begin after October 1st.

As for attending your carving sessions. I know that it's not far from where we will be but I'm not sure how we could do it. We will be at Holiday Motorhomes having work done. Since we have dogs with us we cannot leave them in the motorhome while they are working on it so where ever we go so do they.

Now if that is not a problem great, we'd love to meet ya'll.

So, if you could get back to me privately we can talk about it. I would love to come back and try to teach a class. I'm trying to get some others set up in AZ as well so it would be great if I can get a few going.

Anyway, please email me privately and we can chat.....I have no idea exactly where Holiday Motorhomes is yet. We will have to get directions online before we head there.

My email is nedraspyrography@aol.com

I can provide you with the information on my classes, fees, etc and perhaps we can coordinate something.

Hey Nedra,
If you and hubby make it to Denver give me a call and I would love to buy you both a drink, visit, have dinner, whatever. We're just a hop, skip and a jumb from your new stomping grounds.

Hi Michele, I might take you up on that offer. We were almost going to head that way in 2 weeks but decided we needed to stay close to the house until it's finished...just to keep an eye on the contractors. Our neighbors from WA are moving to Pueblo next week so we will be coming just haven't set a date yet. If it's not before winter it will be in the spring. We are planning a trip north in the spring so that will be on our list if we haven't been there before that.

We will start planning some trips probably starting in October. We received an invitation to participate in a show in Dayton in November and considering that but definately will be heading your way....just don't know when yet.

Keep in touch and I'll keep you posted when we are....nedraspyrography@aol.com

We would love to get together with you

Nedra

Dayton is a great show. It's in a almost new, very large building on the east edge of the Dayton Airport. I hope you don't mind airplanes taking off and landing. The building and all around it is easy to get to in the largest of motorhomes.
Be sure to stop at the Airline Dairy Creme ice cream shop just down the road.
There is also a large Kroger's grocery store near by.
Dayton is only about an couple of hours from my home and I'll be sure to get down to see and greet you there.
I would like to take a class from you there.

Chris

Hi Chris, We are pretty sure we are going to come to the show. We've been tossing it around. It's a LONG trip but everybody says it's a great show.

Now if you could get enough people together to have a class before or preferably after the show I would be happy to do one. Maybe you can talk to the woodcarving club.

Anyway, email me privately and we can discuss this. It certainly would help with expenses and justify the trip. Email me nedraspyrography@aol.com
and we can chat about it. If we are already going to be there for a show my prices for the class would be a bit cheaper than if we aren't already going to be there
