I hope not.... hopefully they'll do something that requires a little education, common sense, honesty and decency! The good Lord knows that we've got enough Rock Stars and Paris Hilton wannabees running around all ready! What is this world coming to? Maybe I'll end up needing to wood burn a couple of caduceus(sp?)! That would be fun!

Hi Kathy, I used to sell the boutique tissue boxes but none left. Search google and look for Turns in Time. I think that's the name of the company that now sells them.

I've got my matching napkin holder almost done. It's lookin good. Will try to finish it this weekend. I love these simple designs....about an hour of burning to finish the napkin holder....he he he

I'm trying to go through all my photos and wood to get some burning projects going for our trip. I have a ret tailed halk started that I will work on and now I"m sifting through all my burls to perhaps get something going on one of those. I'll have about 3 months of free time!

Nedra

Hi Nedra, thank you for the tip--I found Turns in Time and they have exactly what I'm looking for and more. Enjoy your trip!
I also let them know you referred me.
Thanks Again, Wood Burning
Kathy

I've finished burning the napkin holders and all that's left is to apply the finish. It will darken the wood slightly but not much. The holder was made out of basswood so it burned faster and I ended up using the Razertip burner to get better control because of the softness of the wood compared to the maple in the utensil holder. Now hubby says I need to get rid of the apple napkin holder I bought at a craft show many years ago... He think's it's ugly!

Hi Nedra, your napkin holder's turned out great. You got some really nice dark burnings on the figures. I like the utensil holder too!

Thanks Kathy, those were fun burnings. They didn't require much skill but they turned out nice. I used my Wall Lenk single temperature burner to do them so it was quick and easy. They should look great in our new house.
