Default New convert

I picked up Sue Walters guide on impulse last week and was instantly converted.
I decided to build my own burner. Just finished putting it together last night and gave it a test run. I have some kinks to work out but it's working swell.

We love converts and welcome to the wonderful world of burning!!!

I'd love to see what kind of burner and pens you made.

Not much to see. I haven't added any bells and whistles yet. Made a new pen this morning. The first one was too cumbersome.

How about elaborating on the construction of burner unit and pen?

Elaborate hmmm. Here's what I have so far. I haven't installed a power indicator, fuse or power selector yet so I wouldn't use this as a guide until it's been refined.

Very interesting. Nice that you will have your own burner and pen that you designed but me, I like instant gratification....take it out of the box and use it!!!

Believe me. If I could I would, I bought one of the shelf before doing any research and it gave me nothing but grief. I had just about given up on the idea.

Hmmmm, what on earth did you buy? I've had problems in the past with a couple of brands that I hated (was fortunate that I found someone who bought them from me ) but finally found a great burner that I love!!!!

Oh I can't remember the brand name but it was basically a soldering pen with screw in tips. Now you know the rest of the story. Any way, thanks to the information on your web site I'm getting on track. Thanx a bunch!
