Talking New Burning Completed

Hi Everyone,

I just finished a burning of a Lion which is going to be a Christmas gift for my Aunt & Uncle.

By the way - my pyrography class at Lee Valley for January has already filled up and they've asked me to do another one in March! Whoo- Hooo! I'm really excited about doing these workshops (in case you hadn't already noticed).

Thanks for looking.

Hello fellow Calgarian! I used acrylic paints applied in 3 stages and using 4 colours to get the highlights subtle. The board is basswod that I bought from Micheals.

Thanks for you kind comments!

Hi Lindy, your lion is beautiful I really like the flow of the mane and the intense facial look of your lion. Good Job!
Congratulations on your workshop and to be asked back is a real compliment.

What a beautiful piece Lindy! You've really done a superb job in capturing the likeness and texture. The fur on his face looks like it would be soft to touch. And the variations in color, shading, and shape of the hairs on the mane are so well done!
