Default My Avitar

I figured it would be more appropriate to put my Marine Corps emblem as my avitar. It takes up the whole head space over the bucket seats in my 1956 Chevy panel delivery. It's a traveling road show promoting the Marine Corps and my art work in pyrograpgy and an everyday driver. Semper Fi!

I have never shown this picture but to one person, it's to commemorate the few Marines that I let get too close in Nam. Setting here typing this paragraph, I get tears and a little hair standing on the back of my neck. The V.I.P. standing next to him is special in my book also.

Thanks Nedra, now I feel a little better and Semper Fi to ya!

Nice work Hollis, I think your avatar is fitting and sounds like you have a pretty terrific 56 too!

Hollis....

You can never let them go all the way. They are a part of us. And as I get older I don't want to forget them.... I want to remember. And yes, I understand where those tears come from. I see them often myself. I use to fight them but now I just recognize where they come from, give myself a moment of reflection and then carry on. Nice work!

Semper Fi!

Just got back from visiting around the Washington area. The Wall was a sombering experience, knowing how many times my name had a chance of
being on the list. Semper Fi
