Hello all,

Hi Bob,

I must apologize once again for the time delay in responding to this form.

As Hi Ho said the Grizzly is amazing and well worth the $.

But if your budget is like mine then a smokers fan or smokeless ashtray will do ok for now. If you decide that woodburning is something you really like and will be doing a lot of it then the Grizzly is worth it.

So that brings me to / where are the pictures of the canes? J

I hope by now that head cold has become history?

Be well Cola.

Alfie

Hey Alf...when you've got as much going on as you do...it's ok to take some time to respond.

I believe Bob put his canes in the Carvers gallery--or else in the General carving section (I know I've seen them, but can't remember where <grin>)

Good to see you again Alfie. You are going to have to slow yourself down, don't want you to burn yourself out my friend! The canes should be in the "Carvers Galleries" under either "Canes and Walking Sticks" or in Personal Galleries under my name. I think you will like the hawk cane, it has character.

I'll give the reversed fan a try, have it suck the smoke in, instead of blowing it away. I plan on doing a couple more burnings on some small unfinished boxes that I picked up, something different to try. I'll be sticking to my ship models mostly and some other carving, so I can't afford to invest in too many other things. Not enough hours in the day to do everything I would like!!!

Summer is approaching quickly so I will have to get prepared for the display at the wharf again. I should get lots of work done there, it's a beautiful spot to spend the summer, right on the river, and I get to meet all kinds of nice folks, and talk carving and ships. My two favorite subjects.

The head cold finally gave up the battle and I am well. Take care Cola, all the best.

Bob

Hello everyone,

Just in the eye of the storm and have some time for me now.

I had a look at those canes Squbrigg, and as I expected they are beautifully done.

They both had me in awe.

You said it best Cola, "not enough hours in the day"

Well I can tell you one thing; I would love to spend the summer hanging out with you at that wharf. It sounds like a great way to spend the days and just enjoy life.

I am glad to hear you are feeling much better now.

Later days
