Hi All: Those of you who are new to gourding the following thread Pyrography Mimbres Design Gourd is worth the read. It has safety tips, places to purchase gourds online and in person. Some of us chat about our experiences working with gourds.
Have a great day, and remember safety first when working with gourds but have fun too.
Kathy

I did some reading on the thread you recommende and yes gourds do actually grow here. Northern Dipper is a Canadian gourd grower that grows them in central Ontario so I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the post

Hi Guys! I have had several requests for gourd seeds. Unfortunately this thread was started last year. Right now I do not have any left at all.

If I can I do have several gourds and perhaps next week I can grab some time and get them cleaned out. I am not sure that there is still time this year for a planting.

Here in Maryland gourds are usually planted May 15th, the first frost free day because you want to give them as long a growing season as possible.

When I do get seeds I'll post. I have kept the names and addresses of those who have already asked ...

Susan

Joe, you are most welcome, please let me know if they grow for you. You can leave the seeds in the envelope in a dry place until your ready to plant. Seeds should be 3 inches deep and 4-6 inches apart. Wait until any chance of fronst has past.
