Default French Fort Cove getting its name.

In 1758 the some refugees from Acadia hid in the Miramichi region, from the English. The French sent a pair of frigates to protect them and the frigates established a small fort or battery on the point of land adjacent to a cove off the main Miramichi River, a mile before the Acadian camp. They stayed for two years before the English finally defeated the French and the country was settled into peace.

I always wanted to burn an image of that scene, of the French frigate arriving off the point. So I finally did.

WOW, Bob!!! This is beautiful! I love the water. The only thing is I wish I could see it in a little larger pic. Are you going to be adding these to your album so we can see it in a larger view. I hope so.

I also like how you share the history on your ships it is very interesting. So please keep sharing them with us. I love them!

I have looked at the pictures over and over, and see more each time.

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement folks, I appreciate them. Teeburn, I'll post a larger picture in the photo gallery, there is a lot of detail and it took forever. Each tree was a project in itself, it does teach you patience. LOL
