Default Finally getting my Daughters Christmas Gifts done

My Eyes have been acting up, so am glad to get these finished before Christmas. I go to the Vets on the 24th of next month so then will start to get the Peepers fixed.
The Plaques are 11"x12'x 1" Basswood. The finish is Poly U with Dark Wax and Feed-N-Wax. When picture was taken one was in progress, but both are finished now. Comments are always welcome. Merle.

Hi Merle:
Wonderful woodburning there Merle and what great Christmas gifts that will be treasured becuase they are from you.

Are you thinking about catract surgery? As you know I've had both my eyes done and what a wonderful gift for myself. I don't need glasses at all!

I love your work table I've been trying to design something simular for myself. One like yours with holes for pegs to hold my work and have some stability. It appears thatr yours raises and lowers? Is this something you made or if so might I inquire who you purchased it?

I lost a lot of my large work bench when we bought our 32 Ford Coupe. Terry cut down the workbench in order to have room to keep the 32 in the garage. I still have part of it and room for my blower, powercarver and such. Drill press and scroll saw had to go into the cabinet.

Hi Kathy, Thank you for your nice words, always appreciated. My Girls have my stuff all over their walls and seem to enjoy them.
I have had Catract Surgery on my right eye and it's getting fuzzy on outside edge, so thet's the one they will fix next month with a lazer. Then the Left eye will need Catract surgery.
That is a Carving Table that I built, but made it to nice to carve on, don't want to nick it up. Ha,Ha. It is made from Solid Cherry that I got from my Son-n-law. Of course I had to sand it smooth and round all the corners and it turned out to like a piece of Furniture. It is 24"x24"x1", that's the size of my work area that it is setting on, I don't need any more space than that to carve. I got the Pattern from someone on the enter net, I think I have the pattern around here somewhere you can have it if you would like it and I can find it. If you notice it has Brass pegs for holding the work. I got them from Lee Valley in Canada.
Again Kathy thanks for your interest and kind words. Merle

Is there no end to your talent, my friend? All this time, and I don't think I ever knew that you woodburned! Those are gorgeous! I dabble in it myself, but haven't for awhile now. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your table and your workshop, as well. Really nice work, Merle....they'll love them! Bonnie

Your daughters are lucky Merle. Beautiful work. That bench is really something else. Very very nice.
