Default Christmas Presents

This evening I finished up the 6-each clothes hook/plaques that I've been working on for the grandkids for Christmas. This one, the FSU logo is for one of my older grandsons. He's a die hard FSU fan. A dragon I posted previously and the other four are of Yugio, Ariel (the Little Mermaid), Chole (a Bratz), and Spidy. And even though I'm not making them to sell I just don't feel comfortable posting my rendition of a trademarked cartoon. If anyone wants to see them send me a PM and I'll be happy to show them to you.

They have all been burned on to southern pine and painted with a 50-50 mix of acrylic and water. They're finished with three coats of Delta Creamcoat satin varnish.

Each has a 1/2" wood quaker peg for a hook and 1/2" wood plugs to cover the mounting screws. The peg is glued and screwed from the back.

Each of the characters represents the current character of interest for each of my grandkids.... in another words, special requests! Hopefully this will be one way to get them to hang their clothes up. Better yet! Hopefully they won't change their favorite character before Christmas! Yikes!

Joy... That part is not in my job description. I only make them. It's up to their Mama's to get them to use them! Ha! Ha!
