Smile Christmas Cards

Hi everyone,

I've decided to burn my own Christmas Cards this year and I've just finished the first one. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to paint it or not. I used 100 lb vellum paper and the card will fit into a 5x7 envelope. Comments and suggestions are as always welcome.

OMG Lindy!
What a great idea..... but you mean you are going to burn each and every card! You either work fast or you are getting an early start....wow. It is beautiful!! I think either natrual or "slightly tinted" would be great. They will be keepsakes for everyone who receives one of these.

Hi Lindy, wow your burning on vellum paper is just beautiful and a real treasure. As for paint or not I'd leave it unpainted.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm going to leave it unpainted. As for how many I'm actually going to do - well I plan on an original for all of my family and close friends, then I will scan them and just print them for everyone else. They take me about 8 hours to do, so I'm starting now as I have quite a bit on the go and I want them ready for Christmas mailing in December.

Hi Peppin and welcome to the board!

Thank you for your kind comments. Some will be mailed, others will be given in person. I'm also working on some postcards now as well.

So please tell us about yourself. Are you a pyrographer as well, a carver? We would love to know more about you.

Regards,
Lindy
