sue it really doesnt' take patience when your doing something you love.

I absolutely love woodburning and this was something I've been looking forward to doing for several years...just wasn't ready for it yet.

I appreciate the kind words.

I did notice after looking at it again online that I need to do some additional touches to the right side of his face. I guess it's never done until I apply the final finish. That's why I usually leave it for a few days so I can continue looking at it and often I can see things when I post them online that I don't see when I'm looking at it.

Oh, well! Better I catch it now than when I'm entering it in competition....

Wonderful! A ton more feeling gets through in your burnings than does in the old sepiatones. Tom H

The original photos lacked detail and I knew I was going to have to work from imagination a lot plus there was so much detail I really wasn't sure I was up to it.

I must admit I'm thrilled with the way it turned out.

A friend of mine from Canada got me to rethink how I finished him so I have removed the bark from the piece and I am having a custom frame put on. It is being "rushed" and will be done in time for the show this weekend. We chose a wood frame that looks like a burl and I think it's going to make him look even better.
