| | Cell Phone Cover Hi All! Susan your belt wallet got me thinking so I decided to try a cell phone cover. The kit is, as usual, from Tandy Leather but the design is mine. It's a mouse climbing on a morning glory vine.
This was done as an early Christmas gift for my mom and it's her purse you see it attached to. The top is held in place with hook & loop supplied in the kit so it's a little hard to line everything up but when held tight together it actually does. Next time I'm going to look for something else to hold it closed.

| | Re: Cell Phone Cover Hi, Lindy.....I haven't been on much, so I missed this! I can see you LOVE burning on leather pieces. The cell cover is really cute....and different! Haven't had much time for carving or burning, due to some heavy responsibilities, but I am hoping to get back to it shortly. Ordered some things from Nedra for Christmas, and am anxious to try a few ideas. The inspiration is sure there, but not the time! I have to do something about that! Keep up the good work....I love watching for your projects. Bonnie |

| | Re: Cell Phone Cover Hi there Bart! Thank you for your kind words. I'm really into exploring the potential of leather to see what I can create.
Bonnie - good to see you! I've slowed down a bit because of my leg, but I still try to do at least a little each day. I hope you get to have some time for your creative side soon.

| | Re: Cell Phone Cover Oh gosh Bonnie, time, what's that. I hear your pain. I thought when I retired from my day job I'd have more time to burn but it's not happening. I am STILL working on that portrait of the little indian girl but making progress.
I need to crack the whip ![004[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/004[1].gif) because I sold quite a few pieces at the art show and have a bunch at the gallery so I don't have much left. Like you I have lots of inspiration but no time. I am making a concerted effort to change that but the last month has been so busy with Christmas orders I haven't had time for much else. No complaints of course just another excuse for not having time to burn.
Is there a way to add more hours to the day and still get 8 hrs sleep?

If I didn't have a day job, I'd be tempted to try this!

Not sure I could do that now at my age. Tough getting old, but as I used to tell my patients, it's better than the alternative! (most of the time).
