I'm trying to find an easier way to put pyro patterns on wood ,etc., and want to try using prography paper - printing the pattern on the pyro paper and then burning through the paper to transfer the pattern to the item to be burned. Help, please, as to any suggestions as to heat of burner tips, etc. This process would help me due to my arthritis. Thanks, in advance. |

Geez, Roger I'd love to help, but I'm a pyro newbie. Quite of a few woodburners on this site also belong to Pyrography Online. You might want to check there as well.

The only thing that comes to mind right away is to use a projector and work from there. You may have to be creative in positioning the projector or maybe work on a vertical surface. Maybe just use that for a quick pencil out line then fill in the details on a slanted board while you are burning. The problem with burning through paper might be that it would gum up your tip with carbon much faster. I'll keep thinking about it though. Like Bob said in the previous post, you may ask on another forum. Bob just helped me with a question over there. I am even more of a newbie than he is. Rick |
