 Re: Burning on leather sorry i have not done any finishes yet ,all i did with last burn was to put what we call dubbing like a polish( think spelling is off) Pat  |

| Re: Burning on leather I did a test on various finishes that I put up on my forum. Basically a wax over the leather can prevent it from dirt. Actually no finish is as good as any, if the concern is fading  That was an interesting result and was in agreement with my leather suppliers recommendation....

| Re: Burning on leather I taught leather tooling for a while and most of the leather workers I know just use a leather conditioner. It won't prevent fading of the burning but then it probably won't be exposed to UV much and there isn't really a finish that will totally prevent fading of the burning anyway. Bill, perhaps you can post those results about the finishes that you posted on your forum on this forum  Nedra
