Default Break time

The puma is burnt on a 6"x1/2" bass wood plaque using the pointillism technique.

Comments for improvements welcome.

I am not much of a pyro myself so maybe I shouldn't comment.buuuuuuuuuuut,,,,, Seems the shading needs to be a little darker to set it off from the background and give it a little more depth.

However, I like it and think you done an outstanding job.

Hi Jax, very nice job but I have to agree about darkening it. I also suggest you make sure you have light, medium and darks and making the darks, DARK. It will help bring it to life more rather than kind of blending together without much contrast and definition.

Nedra, Kenny,

Thanks for the advise, fortunately I haven't sealed it so I'll re-work it with "darks" and post it later.

Jax.

It'd make a great Tattoo! My oldest Son is a tattoo artist in New (New) Orleans.

Jax, beautiful use of tonal values. I see lots and lots of shades of brown. Your work on the front mussle and nose is wonderful.

Wade, thanks for the comment....as a tatoo artist your son would probably be a good "wood burner"

Irish, Thanks for the shading compliment....I'm making some of the darks a little deeper and will probably post the changes tomorrow.

Jax, As you have a scanner try scanning at 200 percent then cropping it to just his face. I would love to see the detailing of your pointlism style!!!

Wow! Nice work Jax! Maybe just a shade darker as recommended above. Love the eyes too. Mike
