Hi Wade: Thank you
What a huge compliment your statement that you "could look at it for a great while." I'm really pleased! Isn't it interesting how you all have this creative mind to see these things. That is why you and others are so good a what you do.

Kathy, That little added shadow really makes the pale tones ofthe lantern globe jump off the wall background! Very, very nice.

Hi Susan:
Thank you so much for your nice compliment and for seeing what I over looked. As we both know in drawing and painting your objects need to be planted and not floating. In my original the lantern was floating but now the added shadow form plants the lantern. Thank you for seeing....Big .
My next project is to woodburn on a 12" x 12" birch panel another scene from Bodie. This time I may have chosen to go past my ability but who knows--have to try. I'm working on the drawing using one of my photographs of an old wooden buckboard or freight wagon (have to research proper name). There are some areas that don't translate to well so I'm just connecting lines and dots. tee hee I've found it easier to isolate various areas and draw them--then review the wagon as a whole and see if the pieces fit. I remembered your wagon in the last issue of WCI and what an excellent job you did.
Will post when finished this one may take a while. LOL
Thanks again for your help,
Kathy
