 2008 Woodburning Celebration! Hello Everyone! My name is Danette Smith (aka Dannie), and I have some exciting news! There is going to be a 2008 Woodburning Celebration Show and Competition this summer! Participation in this event is open to all Pyrographic Artists and people wanting to learn this art. Where: Cook Forest Sawmill Center for the Arts in Cooksburg, PA It is near the western edge of Pennsylvania off I 80 near Clarion, PA (The entire building has been remodled and is ALL air conditioned now!!!) When: August 14-17. Entries must be registered on Thurs. Aug. 14 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Judging will be on Friday, Aug. 15. The show will be open to the public on Sat. & Sun. Aug. 16-17. What's Going On: Classes: Cheryl Dow is a regular teacher at the Sawmill Center. She will be teaching two 3 day seminars before the show - Aug.7-9 and Aug.11-13. Seminars: by internationally known pyrographic instructors & authors such as: Cheryl Dow, Don Worden, and myself (Danette Smith). (We are still working on getting other instructors so check my webpage for updates!) If you have any ideas as to which woodburning artists you would like invited as demonstrators, or any other suggestions, contact Cheryl Dow at CDDOW@aol.com or me at dangee1@ verizon.net.
