I have taken a weekend seminar with him years ago, when he came to Long Island, N.Y.I belonged to The Long Island Woodcarvers Club.It was a great carving class about 10 or so members.I still have some of the carvings we did and some of his books.Did you check Chip Chats to see if he is scheduled in there? When he came to N.Y.I remembered he stayed at Joel Hull home.

Greetings from Decorah, Iowa.
In response to the question about carving classes / seminars I'm scheduled to teach now in 2007:

May 27-June 1, 2007 John C Campbell School, NC
June 15-17, 16-18 North House Folk School, Grand Marais, MN
July 9-13 North House Folk School (This is a class I'll be team teaching with my wife, Norma...a class on working in horn, bone and antler...not a wood carving class. See North House website, www.northhouse.org for details)
Aug 6-10. 13-17 Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts, Ludlow, VT
Sept 7-9 Vesterheim Norwegian American Museum, Decorah, IA
Nov. Weekend class, also at Vesterheim, called Carving for Christmas

All of the institutions / schools listed above have websites...please check there for course and registration information. Thank you. Beste hilsen,
Harley Refsal
