Default Magical Fair Door -Question for Christian White

I am new to carving and to the forum. I saw the Magical Fairy Door on the webpage. Really nice.
Have a quesiton. Is this all one piece of wood. In the picture on the webpage it appears the triangle above the door seems to look like a seperate piece of wood. And do you also have a pattern for the other door shown. I can be reached at nssailing@cableone.net

Thank you
Roger

Hi Roger,
There are two pieces of wood. The little triangle becomes the overhanging "porch" for the door. I glue and clamp them together and then counter sink a screw from the back that also becomes a little hole to hang it from.
One of the patterns is printed in the new spring edition of Woodcarvers Illustrated Magazine, and the other pattern can be found at:
Woodcarving Illustrated - How To Magazine for Carvers - Relief Carve a Magical Fairy Door
There is a small window labeled "attachments" that gives you the pattern.

Let me know if you have any further questions. I'm delighted that you have an interest in the project. I have carved dozens of fairy doors now, and they still have a very interested audience.
I would also love to see your results when you are done.
Christina

The pattern you referrenced in the "attachement" is of the door in the background, do you have a patternof the door in the foreground.

Thank you, Roger
